Horizon Marine Center Yacht Broker Salesperson License
To work in the State of Florida as a Licensed Yacht Broker, you must first complete the application for a yacht and ship brokers license.
The Yacht Broker Salesperson Application which is regulated by the Yacht And Ship Brokers Section of DBPR Tallahassee Florida, they will handle all paperwork and issue your temporary license and later mailing your license to the employing broker.
The Florida Yacht And Ship Brokers Act program has been in effect since October 1988 and was brought into action in order to protect the consumer, respond to complaints and inquiries concerning the yacht brokerage industry. Qualifications for a yacht broker salesperson:
Several years sales experience will help you and reduce the impact of any transition.
Knowledge of the Florida Yacht Brokerage industry
Basic to advanced Captain and seamanship skills at the pleasure craft level, and knowledge technical and basic.
Yacht Sales experience with other Florida Yacht Brokerages is a plus however not required.
Excellent organizational skills
A passion for the boating industry, closing deals, and building business
